Blog Writing Assignment
For this assignment you will need to craft an 800 word blog post that condenses your research from the research paper and conforms to blog writing conventions. Using the writing skills we discuss in class for blog-writing, craft an interesting, provocative, and informative post for a general readership.  Your post needs to continue doing the work of your research paper including an overview of the debate, the rhetoric employed by the different viewpoints, your argument on that issue. However, your blog post must demonstrate substantial changes from the research paper content and utilize the full range of blog platform features including images, hyperlinks, and tags. You will submit a rough draft of this to blackboard as well as bring a copy for peer review. Your final draft will be posted to my Composition II (112) course blog. Your viewpoint will be joining 100 others who have also done rhetorical analysis! This means your final work will be posted to a public platform, so keep that in mind as you craft your post. We do have a computer day scheduled in order to draft the post and learn how to manipulate the blog features. Rough Drafts will be due to blackboard and in class by 11/12. Final Drafts are due to the Class Blog by midnight Sunday 11/15.
