Smoking Kills

As the title explains, "Smoking Kills." Cigarette smoking has been around since the verge of colonization. Over the course of time there has only been scientific research to go against smoking, such as physical harm along with illnesses. From the start of the cigarette smoking culture it has been seen as a healthy habit, but as the world of technology advanced so did the harm of smoking. Cigarettes are now known as the number one cause of lung cancer, so why object yourself to that? Almost everywhere you go you can buy a pack of cigarettes, whether it's at a greatly franchised super market or even a simple local liquor store.
There is no benefits to smoking, there is only sickness and harm done to your body. Nowadays the anti-smoking campaign is now one of the most funded organizations to take action and rebel against the smoking community and the culture itself. Providing ads on TVs, posters, simple images, and now even everyday newspapers and magazines. Since the dawn of the anti-smoking campaign, they have made a huge decline on the smoking community, such a great impact that they are now even making nationwide pharmacies such as CVS take action and prohibited the sales of cigarettes in their stores. The fact that they persuaded a giant franchised company to ban the sales of cigarettes speaks for the dangers of cigarette smoking themselves.
Secondhand smoking has also taken a toll on people. Secondhand smoking is just as dangerous as smoking themselves. In comparison it is similar to being locked in a room  and being gassed to death with carbon monoxide. With all the chemicals brewing in cigarettes no wonder why they have been banned in public places, such as bars, restaurants', and even zoo's. When smoking, people don't usually care who is around them, but since it's not illegal the victim doesn't have any kind of say herself. The anti-smoking campaign produces various of commercials' and posters describing how smokers aren't just killing themselves but also the people around them as well.
In the following commercial produced by the anti-smoking campaign you can see that this person really regrets starting such a despicable habit. Julian explains how her decision to start smoking ended up creating a hardship that she must go through everyday just to do a simple bowel movement. Using this commercial as someone's' actual life story has such a strong persuasion tool to convince the public that "this can be you." is just such a solid credential. The anti-smoking campaign has posted various versions to these rather personal and real life stories.
So why are you still smoking? is it worth the harm? is it worth the money? Everyone can explain and elaborate of why they smoke, but in reality what they won't answer is why don't you quit? Smoking has taken a huge dent of the population with hundreds of thousands of deaths, yet the government hasn't made even a single try to prohibit the use of tobacco. That's why it is up to us to persuade the victims who had fallen under the habit to smoke. Smoking is harmful and it kills daily and if not in one day, then maybe the next.
